AAT wins grant from the UGRWCD

This spring Gunnison Basin Adopt-A-Trout has been awarded a $1,500 grant from The Upper Gunnison River Water Conservancy District. The award of this competitive grant recognizes the program’s accomplishments and future potential to impact fisheries management and youth education. The funds from this competitive grant will go towards the price of the radio frequency tags that were surgically implanted in 15 trout in Tomichi Creek in April of 2016. The Upper Gunnison River Water Conservancy District works to protect water in the Upper Gunnison Basin. They are very active in the areas of promoting education around water use and working to ensure a bright future for the people and lands in the Upper Gunnison Basin. We are very excited and proud of their decision to help fund the Gunnison Basin Adopt-A-Trout program. Learn more about the Upper Gunnison River Water Conservancy District here http://ugrwcd.org/
